The Ísieni Project originated in the heart of a Garifuna child who, unfortunately, did not learn to speak her language. The Ísieni Project is based primarily on stories from a child’s point of view. The stories are written in Standard English and are ‘sprinkled’ with Garifuna words. This is the author’s reality.
